Young people, to whom I belong, form a part of society in which free time and entertainment represent dominant values in the social structure. Calafat defines free time as a “potential success in prosperous society”, and as “a place where individuals break free from all responsibilities connected to work, rules and routine”. In our free time we can freely decide on activities, which can develop, or not, potentials for our personal growth.
The free time or leisure time is presented to be the amount of time that is not occupied with mandatory tasks, all the activities that can take place after the closure of work time or school ones. Recreation, from an individual perspective, involves, as an example, watching television, attending an opera, base jumping, mowing the lawn, going to the zoo, playing games, downloading music, writing a book, an evening on the town, or whatever one chooses to make it.
