Overview
Adorned with natural beauty, interesting customs, an extraordinary history, the illustrious Montenegro Orthodox Church, and the pleasantness and expertise of the people, Montenegro is an ideal foundation for tourist appeal. By studying programs offered by existing tourist facilities in Montenegro, it was concluded that new programs should be introduced in this area so that both the population and guests can be satisfied. Through this, faster development and further policy cohesion can be achieved for this part of South-Eastern Europe.
Through an implementation of conclusions resulted from studies of Montenegro’s society, I have found a unique blend of services that would be best suited for a hotel in the country. Consistent to the needs of the populace as well as tourists, a practical approach to relaxation and recreation has resulted in a holistic project that can profit from the untapped tourism industry in Montenegro. Drawing patrons into the relevant service that we intend to offer while exposing them to the little-known beauty and attractions offered in Montenegro, we can complete a venture that may not only prove to be personally profitable, but beneficial to the country as well.
Health, Wellness, and Fitness Tourism
The concept of wellness began in 1960 when Dr. Halbert Dunn published the book High-Level Wellness. Dunn presented the word wellness from two roots: well-being (to feel good, deriving from the concept of health to be a total harmonization of corporeal, mental, and social feelings), and fitness (a movement categorized in the 1960s as that which propagates health and generalized sport activity). In Europe, these concepts began to take hold in the 1980s, and have since culminated into a movement of its own. My favorite definition of wellness from one of the concept’s founders, Dr. John W. Travic, is “Wellness is the right and privilege of each individual and consequence of his [or her] free choice.” Wellness is a synonym of strength, courage, success, youth, and primary health, although those with disabilities, the elderly, or even those who experience sustaining pain can enjoy it. Everyone can live his or her life enriched with wellness, and as they personally grow to reflect further wellness in their life, they become healthier and more responsible for their well-being....
